She was President of the Insurance and Surety National Commission of Mexico CNSF (8/2015 to 11/2018), member of the Mexican Financial Stability Board and the National Council for Financial Inclusion. She was Member of the Government Board of the National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV), the National Commission for the Pension System (CONSAR) and the National Commission for the Protection and Defense of Financial Services Users (CONDUSEF).
Mrs. Rosas previously served as Vice-President of Analysis and Sectoral Studies of the CNSF (for 16 years). She worked in the development and implementation of the New Mexican Insurance Law (LISF) – a solvency II type framework–, including the General Model for the calculation of the Solvency Capital Requirement, the second capital regulatory stochastic model in the world.
Regarding international activities, she was Ex-Co member of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS), President of the Latin American Association of Insurance Supervisors (ASSAL) and Chair of the Insurance and Private Pensions Committee (IPPC) of the OECD.
She is Co-ViceChair of the Regulation Committee of the International Actuarial Association (IAA) and member of the Joint IAA & A2ii (Access to Insurance Initiative). Since November 2022, she is ExCo Member of the Global Federation of Insurance Associations (GFIA).
Norma Rosas holds a degree in Actuary, a Diploma in Applied Statistics and MBA from the ITAM.
Distinguished Fellow by the IAIS in 2019. In 2016 she received the Actuarial Recognition Medal from the Anahuac University, and the Professional Merit Award 2016 by the ITAM.
